Come out to the Different Strokes Art Show & Sale at Highlander Brew Co in South River July 24-26; Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am-4pm and Thursday from 10am-8pm. This show will feature the work of three women interpreting life and nature with three diverse styles of art.
Doreen Wood has been painting for more than forty years. Algonquin Park, farm life and the wilderness are constants in her life. Doreen’s paintings in chalk pastel, oil and acrylic capture the beauty and strength of nature in a wonderful realistic style.
Erin Cunningham’s unique style offers variety to this interesting exhibit. Erin is an interpretive art facilitator and artist weaving, in a playful way, bits of herself, her mindfulness meditations, nature walks, and inner intuition derived from life experiences of a woman. She playfully unlocks her creativity using symbolism and imagery to express mood and message.
Marg Cunningham has been inspired by the beauty of the Almaguin Highlands from an early age. Marg’s paintings in watercolour and acrylic capture nature’s ever- changing moods, textures, and vibrant colours. She feels that to paint nature is to capture the sensation and joy experienced from the view.
