The Almaguin Highlands Information Centre (AHIC) has been serving the travelling public since 1990. The goal of the centre is to provide a varied assortment of locally and regionally relevant tourism related information to travellers and the general public while also highlighting the offerings and services of AHIC member businesses. Northern Nerds is located on site and operates an internet cafe as well as the visitors centre. The location also offers public washrooms, payphones, an outdoor gazebo with picnic tables, and during the summer months, is the location of the local farmers’ market.
